Abstract

The notes document the work of Moynihan of mixed flocks (birds), 1960-1966. Includes bird count with D. Fairchild, his assistant, 1960, 1965. Begins with a overview of the mixed flock counting in Chiriquí, Panama; Ecuador; and Tinamou. Discusses the field techniques, data sheets, abbreviations, and terminology. This is followed by numbered tables, headed with location and month range, and include hours of observation, average numbers of individuals seen over periods of time, per flock, and respective percentages.
