Abstract

Catamenia (plain-colored seedeaters), different localities in Ecuador, August 8, 1959 - May 24, 1962. Pages are numbered, and entries are dated and headed with location and type of bird. Entries describe behaviors of individual and groups of birds, noting sex, age, color and changes in appearances as well as phonetic descriptions or drawings of bird calls. Includes illustrations of birds with notes about appearance and behavior and markings highlighting aspects of the entries. Indicates Cotocollao among locations.
