Abstract

The field notes document Moynihan's behavioral observations of Arremona (sparrow) in Cerro Campana and Barro Colorado Island, Panama; Tarma, Peru, Santa Fe, Peru (?), August 8, 1958 - April 7, 1963. Pages are numbered. Includes illustrations and markings in text highlighting descriptions or which bird is being observed. Entries are dated and headed with location and type of bird and describe the changes in appearance and behaviors of groups, pairs, and individual birds with times of day; some are captive birds. Some descriptions include a variety of other birds observed during outings. As indicated in prior collection records, there is significant attention paid to describing bird songs. Includes Bronx Zoo and Porto Bello.
