Abstract

The brown notebook documents the work of August Foerste, and includes extensive sketches of fossils with notes. Pages are numbered, but the majority of information was entered back to front. Includes hand drawn map of location with directions by bearing, landmark, and distance (unsure of measurement type). Includes section descriptions of layers (color, texture and type of stone) indications of when fossil specimens collected with descriptions, some details about surrounding environment.
