Abstract

This field book contains notes on the fruit of plants belonging to the genus crataegus in the rose family. Notes were taken between 8 to 16 August 1902. Collection numbers are in the 6000s, but are not listed in order. Collection numbers, dates, name, and location of some of these specimens match with the same information in other notebooks from 1902, suggesting that some of the specimen in this notebook refer to the same specimen in Boynton's other 1902 notebooks. Locations include various parts of Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Specimen descriptions are included, sometimes describing measurements and including sketches.
