Abstract

The notebook documents work completed near Havre de Grace, May 1 - May 7 (no year) and trip on fishing vessel Crest from Boston, June 15 - July 4 (no year). Dated entries are journal style, describing results of hauls (with types of specimens, sex, weight, and quantity), summaries of marine life information from local captains, daily work with times of day, and sketches of collecting apparatus. Specimens include a variety of fish and invertebrates.
