PrintNumber 3 in a series of 1902 botanical field notes. This volume contains notes taken in North Carolina and perhaps other Southeastern states from 17 May to 6 June 1902. Collector numbers 6212-6401 are included. Boynton collects a wide variety of plants. Frequently collected genera include panicum, a genus of grass, and carex, a genus of sedge. Locations include but are not limited to Statesville , Salisbury, Greensboro, Durham, and Fayetteville. Boynton also includes descriptions of the specimen, descriptions of the soil and soil type, abundance of specimens, and additional information.
