Abstract

Botanical field notes taken in Alabama, possibly Tennessee, and perhaps other Southeastern states from 10-12 October 1901. Collector numbers 4201-5052 are included. Boynton collected a wide variety of plants including crataegus, a genus in the rose family, grasses, and many other types of plants. Locations include but are not limited to Black Creek in Lookout Mountain located in Gadsden, Alabama, and possibly Chattanooga, Tennessee. Boynton also includes descriptions of the specimen, descriptions of the soil and soil type, occasionally directions to wear specimen were found, and additional information.
