Abstract

These materials document dredging, trawling, and hydrographic readings completed by the Bureau of Fisheries from 1888-1906. Includes materials for most of those years. There is a map of hydrographic readings off the coast of Long Island in 1883; four page journal from July 1896 in Alaska with daily information about position, weather, and activities; meteorological records for 1888; meteorological and cruising records for 1895 in Alaska; results of trawling hauls (Santa Catalina Island and Monterey Bay,California; Flattery Bank, Washington) that include station number, listing type and quantity of specimens; report of dredging work by Dr. Kofold with date, method of collecting, water type, observed and collected flora and fauna; and meteorological records for 1905.
