PrintThis field book is number 8 in a series of field books Boynton used in 1900 during collecting trips in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and perhaps other Southeastern states. This field book notes specimen 3409-3436 collected between 14-18 October 1900. Boynton collected a wide variety of plants. One frequently collected genus is crataegus, in the rose family. Locations include but are not limited to Rome and Cline Park, Georgia, Valley Head, Alabama, summit of Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Boynton also includes sketches, measurements, descriptions of the specimen, descriptions of the soil and soil type, how common the species is, and additional information.
