Abstract

The notebook documents fossil localities visited by Franco Rasetti, in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Materials are undated. Entries are headed with location, with reference location (usually town, street intersection, or geographic location), and recommendations on method of travel. Entries include description of terrain; section descriptions with measurements, types of fossils found, and characteristics (color, texture, type) of rock found, and identified formations. Includes drawing of section and photographs with notes. Locations include Ross Lake, Mt. Whyte formation, Bow lake, Mt. Stephen, Kicking Horse Mine, Mt. Bosworth, Burgers quarry.
