Volume 80 is a collection of the journals of Cameron Kepler completed for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, 1965. These are original journals, including typed and hand written entries. pages are numbered. 1) is the journal of C. Kepler for work in Oahu and Sand-Johnston, March 30 - July 10, 1965. Dated entries detail bird observations, banding and collecting. Entries describe locations on Oahu; cruise schedule; daily work; collecting mice; bird, nest and egg counts; island terrain; interactions with participants; observations of birds, chicks, eggs, and nesting behaviors; references to bird band numbers; mortality rates; and weather. 2) is Kepler's journal for SIC #9, September 3 - November 5, 1965. Date entries include content and structure similar to above. Also includes descriptions of campsites, blood sampling, and local accommodations (with sketches). Last page describes skins collected. Notes include section of topography of Baker Island. Locations include locations at sea and islands of Howland, McKean, Hull, Phoenix [Rawaki], Enderbury, Upolu, American Samoa, Baker, and Christmas [Kiritimati]. 3) is Kepler's journal from work completed in Sand-Johnston, November 8 -December 17, 1965. Dated entries describe mouse collecting, facilities on the island, and birds' reactions sound,emissions on island.
