Abstract

This field book notes specimen 2434-2657 collected between 26 April and 7 October 1898. Boynton collected a wide variety of plants, especially flowering plants. One frequently collected genus is Cretaegus in the rose family. Locations include but are not limited to Salt marsh in Craggy Mountain, Biltmore (Asheville), Busbee Mountain, and Cedar Cliff in North Carolina. Boynton also includes brief descriptions of the specimen and the soil.
