PrintThis field book is number 2 in a series of field books Boynton used in 1900 during collecting trips in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and perhaps other Southeastern states. This field book notes specimen 2204-2433 collected between 25 April and 21 May 1900. Boynton collected a wide variety of plants, especially flowering plants. One frequently collected genus is Cretaegus in the rose family. Locations include but are not limited to Valley Head and Birmingham, Alabama, Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Rome and Silver Creek, Georgia. Boynton also includes brief descriptions of the specimen and the soil.
