Abstract

This field book contains notes on the paleontological specimen and geology of Devonian areas of Utah and Nevada taken 19 September to 8 October 1939. Locations Cooper visits include Logan Canyon (probably Utah), Garden City (Utah), Lone Mountain (probably Nevada), Ikes Canyon (Nevada), and other areas. Cooper describes stratigraphy, often providing color and consistency of shale in which fossils are found. Brachiopod fossils and other specimen are noted. Page numbers for these field notes are 0014-0019.
