Abstract

This field book contains paleontological and geological notes on the Devonian Gaspé, Quebec taken approximately between 13 July and 27 August 1929. Locations Cooper visits include St. Johns River Valley, Dalhouise, Black Cape, St. Peter's Point, and other areas. Cooper describes stratigraphy of the locations, often providing color and consistency of shale in which fossils are found. Fossils vary greatly, but some examples of fossils recorded in this field book are trilobites (Arthopod) and cochlospira (Mollusk). 2 Maps drawn to scale are included.
