Volume 60 includes multiple journals by multiple creators completed for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, 1963-1965. Journals are a mix of typed and hand written copies. 1) is the journal of Warren B. King (all field notes) December 19, 1963 - July 4,1964. Some entries document US FISH AND WILDLIFE SeRVICE, BUREAU OF COMMERCIAL FISHERIES [BCF] Cruise. Locations include Hawaii (Big Island), Manana Island, Midway, Kure, Kauai, and Maui. Locations are listed at the top of entries by stating island name, and specific location on island, usually, wetland area, crater or other type of geographic location. Intermixed with later dated entries are observations recorded on preprinted observation sheets that record observers, times of day, weather, date, and quantities and notes on bird types. 2) is the journal of Ralph Kirkpatrick documenting observations and collecting at sea and Sand and Johnston Island, September 29 - 1964 - January 17, 1965. Entries become more succinct as dates progress. 3) are Species Accounts and Catalogues of Ralph Kirkpatrick, November 21, 1964 - March 3, 1965. Includes species list for mammals (rodents) and birds.
