Abstract

This field book contains narrative notes on birds Nelson observed or collected and on muskrats from 5 February to 12 March 1928. Statistics and anecdotes on animal populations from previous years re included. Some common birds listed include geese, crane, heron, egrets, gulls, loons, and ducks. Locations include Rainy Refuge (possibly Florida), Orange (Texas), Cameron (Texas), and Pecan Island (Louisiana). Much of the muskrat information was obtained from Dick Gordon.
