Abstract

The volume documents sea logs of Patrick J. Gould during the cruises for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, 1963-1964. The copy is typed. Locations visited for both specify waters off the cost of Oahu, Hawaii and Johnston Island. 1) is the sea log for July 29 -November 19, 1963. Daily entries are dated and headed with location. Begins with their arrival in Honolulu, Hawaii. Entries include details about work completed by Survey participants, bird sightings (time of day, quantity, type of bird, and location in reference to ship). Locations at sea are not specific, sometime indicated by referencing time from last destination and bearing. There are hand written notes in the volume. 2) is Patrick Gould's sea log from January 3 -July 14,1964. Starts with a list of participants. Observation data includes time of day, quantity, type of bird, and location in reference to ship.
