Abstract

The folder contains a mixed collection of images of butte faults assembled by Charles D. Walcott. Some are printed, most hand-drawn, with descriptions ranging from detailed to nonexistent. Images included printed illustrations of Trias and Permian sections, detailed section (with notes) of Kaibab plateau, hand-drawn sections examples of Carboniferous, Devonian, and Silurian layers; section and description of Kaibab displacement; and cliffs in Kanab Canyon of Grand Canyon. Dated materials are from 1879-1882, most are undated.
