Abstract

This diary documents Nelson's field research and travels with Edward Goldman in Mexico between 19 February and 2 May 1897. Most of Nelson's notes describe the vegetation surrounding the locations he traveled through. Some notes on birds observed and collected and a note about porpoises harpooned off of Maria Madre Island are also included. Locations include but are not limited to San Sebastian, Bay of Banderas, Valle Banderas, Tepic, San Blas, and Maria Madre Island.
