Abstract

Drawings are created during Charles D. Walcott's field work, possibly B. L. Young, based on observations of geological formations in the Chuar Valley of the Grand Canyon, circa 1883. Drawings included a detailed depiction of erosion a canyon slope, curvature of a sandstone formation, south face of Temple Butte, and a lava hill.
