Abstract

This notebook contains notes on plants, birds, and mammals in the Grand Canyon between 12 November and 16 December 1912. Nelson's narrative notes describe plants found along the Grand Canyon, birds observed and collected, and mammals collected. Other specimen may also be noted. Locations include Cataract Canyon Trail and the Supai (Havasupai) Indian Reservation. Nelson also includes notes about the Havasupai with statistics of their birth and death rates.
