Abstract

This notebook documents Nelson's field research in Arizona and Utah between 25 July and 10 September 1909. Nelson's daily, narrative entries describe the flora and fauna, particularly birds, of the locations he travels through. Taxonomic and common names are given for many species listed. Localities include but are not limited to Holbrook, Chin Lee (Chinle), Tuba, Echo Cliffs, Lees ferry, Demotte park, Kanab. Altitudes of localities and miles traveled are listed at the end of the notebook.
