Abstract

The field book was created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 16, on December 9, 1966. The field book by Rich Chandler relates to bird banding collected on Howland Island (listing band numbers 797-30510 to 797-30600). In the front of the book is an itinerary with time ranges for the 9-12 December. Return data is listed by type of bird and includes a variety of data. Sometimes ages, sex, and nesting status or whether source of blood samples. Counts of birds, nests and eggs also detail participant who counted.
