Abstract

The field book was created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 16, on November 20, 1966. The field book by Ken Balcomb includes bird banding and returns data collected on Phoenix Island [Rawaki] (listing band numbers 863-83304 to 863-83400, 587-98012 to 587-98100, 863-57001 to 863-57500, 943-44501 to 943-46500, and 943-55001 to 943-56500). Includes nest counts (including types of birds). Much of the data is on pelagic birds -- types of Terns, Frigate Birds, and Boobies.
