Abstract

Color slides document work completed by Waldo L. Schmitt during the Smithsonian-Bredin Caribbean Expedition, 1959. Slides are labeled with number, date, location and sometimes description. Names are usually included for Individuals pictured. Subject matter includes vistas and detail images of vegetation and terrain across visited islands; coastlines and beaches; vistas of streets and towns; detail images of crustacean and shell specimens; images of reefs; and views of the sailing vessel used. Locations include the vicinity of Tobago, Little Tobago, Antigua, Buccoo, and Montserrat.
