Abstract

This record refers to 3 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 15, in 1966. Envelope 1 contains a field book by R. W. Tuxson from work conducted on Baker Island. The field book includes an island survey with bird and cat counts; and a blood catalog listing number (1-18), species, age, sex, nesting status, and band number (587-80974 to 757-65293). Envelope 2 contains a field book by Walter Bulmer from work conducted on Howland Island. The field book includes bird banding and returns data (558-85078 to 943-82769); nest counts; shorebird counts; and a list of color marked birds. Envelope 3 contains a field book by J. H. Fitch that includes bird banding and returns data collected on Howland Island (listing band numbers 558-85066 to 797-25809).
