Abstract

This field book contains field notes on birds taken from 15 August to 13 November 1982. Notes contain daily lists of various birds spotted in Virginia. Most of the birds listed were observed at Eike's home on 6207 Newman Road, Fairfax or in the surrounding area. Birds sighted at "reservoir besides MacArthur Blvd" on 10-31-82 are also noted. Birds sighted in other locations may also be included. Notes often include weather and temperature information, quantity, sometimes time spotted, and the sex of the birds. Legend on the verso of the cover: triangle -- bird seen in triangle; "*" -- first sighting this season; “*” with circle – raptor after first sighting.
