Abstract

This record refers to 3 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 15, in 1966 on Enderbury Island. Envelope 1 contains a field book by D. I. Hoff that includes bird banding data (listing band numbers ); and nest counts. Also included is a bird catalog listing number (1-200), species, age, sex, nest status, and band number (568-72187 to 757-67877). Envelope 2 contains a field book by L. N. Huber that includes bird banding data (listing band numbers 737-49372 to 767-48374); and nest counts. Envelope 3 contains a field book by Frank Smith that includes bird banding data; nest counts; a re-count of Lesser frigatebirds using plot density method; bird population estimates; general bird and bird nesting observations; and notes on Frigatebird colonies.
