Abstract

This record refers to 3 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 14, in 1966 on Howland Island. Envelope 1 contains a field book by Walter Bulmer that includes bird banding data (listing band numbers 943-40501 to 953-94500); nest counts; and a hand-drawn map of a Sooty tern colony. Envelope 2 contains a field book by Richard D. Chandler that includes Great frigatebird nest counts; and Red-footed booby roost counts. Envelope 3 contains a field book by Richard S. Crossin that includes a single entry describing bird banding activities and bird observations.
