Abstract

Charles D. Walcott records observations of sites in Idaho in 1895 and 1940. Notes from 1895 detail a mining district in Coeur d'Alene, noting deposits of quartzite and shale, descriptions of topography, and discussion what observations may indicate. Includes sketches. The notes from 1940 are from Fourmile Canyon in Wasatch Range near Malad [Malad City], Idaho. Notes describe observed Brigham Quartzite, transition beds, Ute limestone.
