Abstract

This record refers to 3 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 14, in 1966 on Howland Island. Envelope 1 contains a field book by Richard S. Crossin that includes bird banding data (listing band numbers 587-83522 to 953-29000); Sooty tern egg measurements; a description of methodology for conducting Sooty tern nest counts; and Sooty tern nest counts. Envelope 2 contains a field book by D. I. Hoff that includes bird banding data (listing band numbers 723-61600 to 953-0600). Envelope 3 contains a field book by L. N. Huber that includes bird banding data (listing band numbers 723-61001 to 953-10500); and observations of Blue-faced booby pair with young.
