Abstract

This field book contains field notes on birds taken from 16 October 1979 to 11 January 1980. Notes contain daily lists of various birds spotted in Virginia. Most of the birds listed were observed at Eike's home on 6207 Newman Road, Fairfax or in the surrounding area. Herons observed at "Hampshire's Pond" on 11-18-79 are also noted. Other locations may be included. Notes occasionally include weather and temperature information, quantity, time spotted, and the sex of the birds. Three clippings are included: death announcement for Edward Franklin Hall, 11-22-79; sports hall of fame clipping, 11/19/79; “Birdwatcher offering $100 for sight of rare tanager”, 11-22-79.
