Abstract

This record refers to 3 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 14, in 1966 on Howland Island. Envelope 1 contains a field book by Kenneth C. Balcomb that includes bird banding and returns data (listing band numbers 568-70588 to 953-26000); bird banding notes; nest counts; and notes on Sooty tern nesting activities. Envelope 2 contains a field book by Walter Bulmer that includes bird banding and returns data (listing band numbers 568-70344 to 953-24500); and shorebird counts.
