Abstract

This record refers to 4 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 13, in 1966 on Howland Island and Baker Island. Envelope 1 contains a field book by Frank Smith that includes bird banding data (listing band numbers 773-20158 to 863-81201). Envelope 2 contains 2 field books by J. P. Tordoff. The first field book includes banding data (listing band numbers 773-20020 to 863-80006); and shorebird counts May 2-3, 1966. The second field book includes Sooty tern banding and returns data collected on May 8, 1966 (listing band numbers 773-20196 to 863-80900). Envelope 3 contains a field book by N. H. Heryford that includes weather station checks; shorebird counts; and bird banding data (listing band numbers 568-71334 to 737-27865).
