Abstract

This record refers to 5 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 13, in 1966 on Howland Island. Envelope 1 contains 2 field books by Kenneth C. Balcomb. The first field book includes banding data; nest counts; and a blood list for work completed May 2-3, 1966. The second field book includes banding data collected on May 8, 1966 (listing band numbers 773-21698 to 843-55884). Envelope 2 contains a field book by Richard S. Crossin that includes Sooty tern banding and returns data (listing band numbers 773-22179 to 863-81600). Envelope 3 contains 2 field books by B. A. Harrington. The first field book includes bird banding data (listing band numbers 587-83501 to 863-90000); nest counts; general notes; and a packing list; from activities conducted May 2-3, 1966. The second field book by Harrington includes bird banding data collected May 8, 1966 (band numbers 773-20473 to 863-80600).
