Abstract

This field book contains field notes on birds taken from 19 February to 10 May 1979. Notes contain daily lists of various birds spotted in Virginia. Most of the birds listed were observed at Eike's home on 6207 Newman Road, Fairfax or in the surrounding area. Other locations may be included. Notes occasionally include weather and temperature information, quantity, time spotted, and the sex of the birds. Symbol codes on the verso of the cover are as follows: triangle – outside kitchen window; “s” – singing; upside-down “T” -- hanging feeder. Clipping inserted near entry for 2-26-79: funeral announcement for Vivian R. Hathcock, 1-15-79.
