Abstract

This field book contains field notes on birds taken from 13 August to 9 November 1978. Notes contain daily lists of various birds spotted in Virginia. Most of the birds listed were observed at Eike's home on 6207 Newman Road, Fairfax or in the surrounding area. Birds observed in Arlington (10-1-78), en route from Nicklesville to Fairfax north of Salem (10-3-78), and at "Hampshire’s 'cedar line'" (11-5-78) are also included. Other locations may be included. Notes occasionally include weather and temperature information, quantity, time spotted, and the sex of the birds.
