Abstract

This field book contains field notes on birds taken from 11 March 24 May 1978. Notes contain daily lists of various birds spotted in Virginia. Most of the birds listed were observed at Eike's home on 6207 Newman Road, Fairfax or in the surrounding area. Birds observed at "Hampshire's meadow" on 3-13-78, en route to Centreville and at West Ox Road Park on 3-25-78, and at "Pine Ridge Pond" on 5-13-78 are also included. Other locations may be included. Notes occasionally include weather and temperature information, quantity, time spotted, and the sex of the birds. News clipping entitled “breeding ground of rare Calif. Tern now a parking lot”, 4-28-78, is included.
