Abstract

This record refers to 3 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 13, in 1966 on Phoenix Island (Rawaki). Envelope 1 contains a field book by T. James Lewis that includes a list of Christmas Island shearwater returns, with band numbers 514-76165 to 544-50043. Envelope 2 contains a field book by Philip C. Shelton that includes bird banding and returns data (listing band numbers 514-76022 to 773-39371); nest counts; and shorebird counts. Envelope 3 contains a field book by Frank Smith that includes bird banding data (listing band numbers 642-00401 to 863-47500); and nest counts.
