Abstract

This record refers to 3 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 13, in 1966 on Enderbury Island. Envelope 1 contains a field book by Frank Smith that includes banding data (listing band numbers 558-85729 to 797-25300); shorebird counts; and nestling counts. Envelope 2 contains a field book by Max C. Thompson that includes bird banding data (listing band numbers 587-84006 to 757-66906) and nest counts. Envelope 3 contains a field book by unknown authors that includes blood catalogs for work conducted on Enderbury Island, McKean Island, and Howland Island. The catalogs include number (1-106), species, sex, date, band number, and some additional remarks.
