Abstract

This record refers to 3 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 11, in 1966. Envelope 1 contains a field book by Max C. Thompson from his work on Baker Island. The field book includes an equipment list; shorebird counts; nest counts; and bird banding data (listing band numbers 558-85214 to 903-03700). Envelope 2 contains a field book by B. A. Harrington from work conducted on Howland Island. The field book includes banding data (587-83674 to 777-57493); nest counts; detailed Sooty tern observations; and general notes. Envelope 3 contains a field book by N. H. Heryford from work conducted on Howland Island. The field book contains nest counts and shorebird counts.
