Abstract

The list of soil samples document collecting done during the Smithsonian-Bredin Belgian Congo Expedition, 1955, led by Waldo Schmitt. Specimen locations include lakes, antelope fields, agricultural fields, forests, roadsides, shorelines, and national parks. Locations include the vicinity of Sudan and Democratic Republic of Congo (Kagera Park [Parc National de l' Akagera], Lake Kivu [Kivu Lac], Lake Tanganyika, and Yagambi, Wagenia, and Stanleyville [Kisangani]). Additionally there is a letter in reference to the processing of the samples.
