Abstract

This record refers to 3 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 9, in 1965 on Christmas Island. Envelope 1 contains a field book by Richard S. Crossin that includes travel notes; bird observation notes; shorebird counts; and bird banding data (listing band numbers 524-04824 to 853-70114). Envelope 2 contains a field book by Robert R. Fleet that includes travel notes; pelagic bird colony observations; and bird banding data (listing band numbers 514-77825 to 635-22177). Envelope 3 contains a field book by B. A. Harrington that includes bird banding data (514-77977 to 615-04396) from Motu Upua, Christmas Island.
