Abstract

The itineraries, their revisions, and correspondence document the work of Waldo Schmitt during the Smithsonian-Bredin Belgian Congo Expedition, 1955. The letter provides an overview of the expedition, including a description of staff members, their specialities, length of trip, prime objectives, and a list of questions about supplies and types of personnel needed.
