The receipts and notes document the work of Waldo Schmitt during the Smithsonian-Bredin Belgian Congo Expedition, 1955. Includes an hand written, chronological, itemized expense report with dates and destinations, including details about meals (and with whom he ate), specimens shipped, and modes of travel. Locations include Sudan, Uganda, and Democratic Republic of Congo.
