Abstract

Charles D. Walcott records observations of the sites including the Burgess Shale, across the Canadian Rocky Mountains of British Columbia, Canada, between 1907 and 1917. Each set of notes are several handwritten pages, generally separated into acid free envelopes. Notes include descriptions of sections of strata detailing stone characteristics (measurements in feet included), sketches, lists of fossils found. Locations observed include the vicinity of: Mt. Stephen, Mt. Field, Mt. Bosworth, and Sherbrook Ridge. Formations mentioned include Burgess, Ptarmigan, and Paget.
