Abstract

This record refers to 3 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 9, in 1965. Envelope 1 contains a field book by Richard L. Maze and several other authors from work conducted on Howland Island. The field book includes nest counts; general notes; and banding and returns data (listing band numbers 558-85783 to 747-57621). Envelope 2 contains a field book by Cameron B. Kepler from work conducted on Howland Island. The field book includes a list of Berlese samples taken; nest counts; and banding and returns data (listing band numbers 568-70004 to 757-63373). Envelope 3 contains a field book by B. A. Harrington that includes shorebird counts and hermit crab counts from Baker Island.
