Abstract

Notes were recorded by Waldo Schmitt during the United States Navy Galapagos Expedition, 1941. Includes plans and specifications for a proposed field laboratory in the Galapagos Islands to study the wildlife and environment. Includes lists of aniticipated supplies needed, structure of Smithsonian and Ecuadorean Government partnership, proposal of specific types of observations to be conducted; drafts of agreements; cost estimates; and proposed sites.
